Got a call this morning while at breakfast that the delivery truck was at my office. The packages came faster than I expected, and I did not get tracking or an early call notifying I was getting a delivery. I guess thats the joy of FTL shipping, because it was substantially cheaper than UPS. So 700 of our books is about 558 lbs. Ill get to these later, I'll be getting some packaging, and waiting for the bookplates.

Just wanted to be transparent as possible on this process. Here is a copy of my order from yesterday. You'll notice an order from Black Watch Books. I will soon have more details for people to get the books from them (who missed the kickstarter) and other small retailers who will carry the books.
We are using Ingram's(one of the biggest book distributors and related businesses) Lightning Source( The best print on demand for large orders) . it would cost more to print offset (traditional) and we would have to order much more books, and warehouse them. Lightning Source has printers overseas and UK, so in the near future folks in Europe and UK can order the books, and have them sent from the printer.
In terms of orders arriving, We'll let you know as we get more information. This is the first time Ive worked with Lightning Source, but they have worked with many independent publishers and kickstarters.

Just got the Print Proofs tonight. Everything so far looks right. Hopefully tomorrow I should have an update on the actual print run. Theres too many books to take to chance on a digital PDF proof.
